Luton Airport Security
In addition to previous security recommendations detailed below, London Luton Airport would like to advice passengers of ADDITIONAL RESTRICTIONS CURRENTLY IN PLACE AT THE AIRPORT as follows:
The following hand baggage restrictions now apply.
Cabin baggage
Each passenger is permitted to carry ONE item of cabin baggage through the airport security search point, the size of this item is restricted to a small trolley case. The exact dimensions of permitted cabin baggage do vary from airline to airline and other restrictions may apply. Passengers are advised to check directly with the airline regarding cabin baggage restrictions.
In addition to the one item permitted above, each passenger may carry a musical instrument in its case. (No items other than the musical instrument and its accessories can be carried within its case).
No liquids of any type are permitted other than the following items:
Essential medicines in liquid form sufficient for the flight (e.g. diabetic kit), as long as they are verified as authentic
Baby milk and liquid baby food sufficient and essential for the flight (the contents of each bottle or jar must be tasted by the accompanying passenger). NOTE: The definition of liquids includes gels, pastes, lotions, liquid/solid mixtures and the contents of pressurised containers, e.g. toothpaste, cosmetics, hair gel, drinks, soups, syrups, perfume, deodorant, shaving foam, aerosols, etc.
Laptops and large electrical items (e.g. large hairdryer) are permitted but must be removed from the bag at security screening.
Pushchairs, walking aids and wheelchairs are permitted but must be screened at the security search point.
PLEASE NOTE - ONCE PASSENGERS HAVE PASSED THROUGH SECURITY INTO THE DEPARTURE LOUNGE, THERE ARE NO RESTRICTIONS ON SHOPPING, OR FOOD AND DRINK PURCHASES. ANY ITEMS BOUGHT IN THE AIRSIDE DEPARTURE LOUNGE WILL BE PERMITTED INSIDE THE AIRCRAFT CABIN.
Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport in good time for their flight, approx 2hrs prior to flight departure.
