Terminal Facilities
Access to the terminal building is via six revolving doors, all of which can be slowed down by use of a press button. Two of the doors are designated as "accessible". They can easily be set to the open position, ideal for customers with Special Assistance Dogs.
Customers requiring assistance are requested to use one of the Special Assistance telephones sited in and around the terminal building. Porters are available to offer free assistance to disabled customers.
Information units are sited around the terminal building, offering information on parking, train and bus timetables and airport facilities. Some are lowered, suitable for wheelchair users.
Telephones with the traditional handset, number keypad and a touch screen are available. In addition they offer Internet access and a facsimile facility. There is a lowered phone for wheelchair users in each phone bay.
There are 2 wheelchair collection points within the main concourse, one at the side of the entrance doors and one at the side of the check-in desks. There is no charge for the use of these wheelchairs.
There is a Special Assistance Waiting area, within the entrance doors, where disabled customers can wait in comfort while cars are parked or collected.
Induction loops are installed at many of the customer counters, including the majority of check-in desks and customer services desks. Accessible toilets for disabled users are provided in all main areas.
